This month I got to spend some time in New York and enjoy the beauty of autumn there.
With the hustle and bustle, the lights, the noise and the sheer volume of people that make trips to New York so invigorating – this probably doesn’t conjure up beautiful scenes of autumn.
However, on landing into JFK airport rather than heading to Manhattan, I went to Garden City. Staying at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City on Long Island, this certainly makes for a different trip to The Big Apple.
Located only 18 miles from Manhattan with direct rail connection across from the hotel into Penn Station, this is a great location for a much slower paced stay.
If like me, you enjoy walking and enjoying the beauty of nature’s seasons this is perfect for a visit, but with great direct access into New York City.
