Blue Eryngium or Sea Holly, a genus of flowering plants in the family Apiaceae. Dome shaped umbels with steely blue or white flowers and spiny hairless leaves gives this herb a distinct look.
Species used as food and medicine. A herbal remedy for scorpion stings and a anti-inflammatory agent. Roots used as a vegetable or sweetmeat. Sometimes mistaken for coriander and as a result, occasionally called spiny coriander.
